Episode Guide
Previous Episode: #123: Thermite
Next Episode: #125: Nintendo Zapper

  • 82 seconds was chosen for the microwave time, because ET was released in 1982.
  • AVGN is mentioned a lot in this episode. Jory incorrectly says that AVGN did a review of the ET Atari game, and Jory's lower third in the intro says "Happy Video Game Nerd." Sadly, though, Jon has never been able to contact AVGN/James Rolfe about doing a collab video.
  • Jon gave a condensed explanation of why this game is often considered the worst video game of all-time. Jon provided a link to the Wikipedia article for those who wish to learn more.
  • All three of the guys are too young to remember the Atari.

  • Jory: You know, Jon Sagovic sent us a bunch of these Atari games here, and I have to figure out which one I'm gonna microwave. But, I mean, it's pretty simple, because some of them are really good, like Asteroids and Pac-Man . . . and ET's gonna die!
  • Jory: And I'm guessing some of you are saying, "Whoopie with [Whoopi]?" And I do! You're right!
  • Jory: In goes the Atari game. Used with joystick controller. Oh, I use it with a joystick controller!

Jon: Jory, I think you use EVERYTHING with your joystick controller!
Jory: Yes, I know!

  • Jory: He's a WMD- ET's a WMD!
  • [game bursts into flames] Jon: ET is phoning home now!
  • Jory: You may be wondering, is it a good idea to microwave an ET game? Absolutely! I didn't even have to . . . Do you know how many copies of this game there were and how sh*tty it was?!
  • Jory: And that's why it's a bad idea!

Jon: No, it's a GOOD idea!

Jory: Oh, a good idea? (pauses to move camera to side) And THAT'S why it's a good idea!

Jon: What was that whole move there for?

Jory: It would be a jump cut if you did it otherwise.

Jon: I'm gonna do THIS for the jump cut. I always do it that way. . . .
